Help my friend who wants to buy a laptop

hi

can someone help. basically a friend of mine wants to buy a laptop from hong kong but doesnt know how much it would be. he wants like a laptop with 512mb, decent graphics card, wireless, 1.6 ghz and 40gb hard drive. can someone look around hong kong and let me know please. im going in about 3 days so i just needed some help. thanks

Are you sure 512mb of ram will suffice? I think the standards these days is 1G of ram and 2G on some better laptops.

Yep. Min spec should be 1GB RAM and 60GB drive.

ASUS has some good deals in the low end in WCC

We paid 9800 for a Samsung Q35 laptop with dual core pentium processors, 1.5gb of ram, 100GB hard drive, full wi-fi and blue tooth wireless connectivity, dvd burner, very light weight and perfect for travel.


Pretty impressed by the speed in which it runs, it renders DV footage in about half the time my home pc does, which really is saying something.

How is Samsung for bloatware? Sony installs a fair bit of its own stuff.
