IPhone - Trouble in paradise?

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19614050

A good article about an IPhone failing after 4 days.

On a % basis there has to be some failures. MTBF stats and all that. However the thing that caught my eye was the battery issue.

I fear we have not heard the last of this and where the batteries made by Sony who have a lead in hot battery technology !

I was surprised with the nature of that post on MSNBC.

Specially when it came without the disclosure that MSN/MSNBC is a part of Microsoft, which has its own competing technologies.

Yes , I saw that.
And -- the charge is just for " hardware failures " and nothing more specific.

Time to go to work KIA

http://www.reuters.com/article/techn...37031320070706

If this goes full circle I would love to see the legal arguments about the freedom to use your phone how and with whom you want, as long as you are paying to access the relevant network.

Anyone got a definitive ruling about what you classify as " hacking "?
Plus , once you have paid for an Iphone its legally your property to do with as you want, as long as all the sevices you use are also leaglly bought and paid for?

Yeah, I saw the post about DVD John having broken the codes behind the activation mechanism (on slashdot.org).

Unfortunately, US laws are a pain in the arse to deal with .. when it comes to things like DMCA etc.

More later .. have to get to a meeting.
