I have 2 favourites - Enoteca and Cru. Both have good food and service almost always. Not too expensive and nice clientele.

Alby,

Press Room - Heard negative reviews from folks in the know.

Tuk Tuk Thai -- *really* dirty in the back .. its a bit of a dive to be honest, not bad if you just want something quick after some drinks .. but not a place to take an out-of-towner-who-wants-to-dine-in-soho.

Magnolia requires a two week reservation.

Babek's pretty nice if you want to provide a modern dining experience. They provide a decent tasting menu.

Wildfire's a good, more casual alternative. There's also a couple of new places on Elgin, could be worth a shot.

Krad - is Babek the same Indonesian place from Wanchai? If so, I agree -- good food and trendy.

I would reckon giving your friend a tour around LKF and take the stairs up to Wyndham street pass by some nice restaurant and bars, then to the escalator to Soho and Staunton and lastly stop over at Bocar for dinner...

KIA, don't think so, it's modern Indian cuisine, was actually very good when I went. The chef was apparently tired of all the Indian joints in HK doing the traditional curries and stuff, decided to do his own menu, and it works pretty well.
