Smile 'Extreme World' biz comes to China

Hi I am Laurie and I enjoy the site and the member’s contributions. I am a new member in need of some advice please – I hope you can help.

I head up an amazing group of young elite Australian athletes and 102 of them will be strutting there stuff next November in Dongguan.

They are all Supercross and freestyle riders and their speciality is 'Extreme World' entertainment spectaculars and this will be a first ever for Chinese audiences.
But certainly not a last.

To cut to the chase - I need to register a business entity in Hong Kong to compliment some aspects of the buisness commencing. Nothing special or complicated - simply the lowest order of business registration available [similar to the simple process in Australia of registering a business name] which costs about $120.00 and about 10 minutes to fill in the application.

Is there a Hong Kong equivalent to this process? If so, where do I get the application form? Thank you.

I have a feeling the person really did not need / want the info, but was trying to get a word in about their event.

I could be wrong .. have been wrong several times in the last 24 hours... but hey ..

You are deceptively perceptive.
'Extreme World' mission accomplished.
I now have both yourself and Alby in the loop.
And only 22998 seats left to fill.
Piece of cake!

Are you kidding me? It took my friend and I a whole day to get our ABN and our business name registered at two different locations in Southport (yes, I'm from the Gold Coast as well).

It's alot easier to get a company registered in Hong Kong, but in some cases you might need to get yourself a company stamp.

erictby can only hope to improve
If simple Business Registration, just go to Wan Chai. Do it yourself, cost you less than HKD3000. (If not mistaken the stamp duty for 1 year was HKD2600 plus small fraction of others expenses). It will take few hour to complete because of the long queue.

If Company Registration, just buy the ready-made company from some Secreatary Firm, that's the easier way. Take less than one day to complete since just change the share holder name only. If you do it yourself, you need to find company secreatary, summit form..etc. too much thing to do. A ready-made company will cost you less than HKD15000 but more than HKD10000, just negotiate with them for the package your need. Last few months, I saw somebody sell their company at GeoExpat classified at HKD7000, but don't know still there or not.
