It is Nepalese cuisine and I think the best that I have tasted in HK. To find it go to the old Police station in Central on Hollywood Road. Facing the station take the street on the right and go up the hill to find it on the right.

I can visualize Kathmandu restaurant, it is somewhere above LKF and near Wydham Street in Central and will try that place during the weekend, thanks.

When you say 'It is a good eye opening to eat Indian food in bad restaurant.' do you mean it gives you a bad tummy?

Gaylord??

Does this mean something in Hindi or any Indian language?
I have always wondered why someone would name an Indian restaurant "Gay Lord".

There is a decent place on Modi Rd called Surya. These guys have been around for years. Also for the best Biriyani in HK go to "Butt Food House" on the GF of CK mansions.

GayLord

Ah the memories!
The definitive GayLord for me has to be the one at Churchgate in Bombay. Tables set for lunch with starched ginham and jars of pickled pear onions.

Gaylord means exactly that-After the dining experience you would leave the establishment as happy as an aristocract

>> Veda does very traditional dishes too. Maybe your only exposure to Indian food is from other Indian restaurants. So u find other unusual or regional dishes "non Indian".

They've changed their chef recently (6 to 9 months ago if I recall) and I've met the new chef... nice bloke who has done a fair amount to bring in some authenticity and has from what I've heard done a really good job.

Their previous crap about "ayurvedic food" was a complete bunch of bollocks...
