NBA Draft- Yi Jianlian

Later tonight will be the NBA entry draft.

I wonder what team will get this kid.

He will be a good one.

He is faster than Yao Ming and can this kid dunk.

It is stupid what they say in the States, he will go to a city with a huge chinese population.

OK.

Well not really, he will go to the NBA team who wants to sell the most basketball jerseys.

Every kid in China will be wearing his basketball jersey in the next 2 years.

Dun think Yi is as good as Yao when entering NBA. Foreign players take at least a few years to develop so Yi is a project. Wish Yi can play in the NBA.

Better than Yao

If he goes to a team will a strong power forward he will be a second threat.

He has great pace and can drive the paint.

He will be great on a fast break and his style will draw lot of fouls.

Good fade away. Very confident.

In the States they expect him to go third to Atlanta or fifth to Boston.

I would love to see him go to The Raptors but that won't happen.

With about 8 hours til draft time, I do expect a surprise team to trade up for him.

He will be a dream for any NBA teams marketing department.

mr_dimsum will become famous soon enough
Yi had a good game in the summer league yesterday. It'll be interesting to see how far he'll develop and how fast. His game is not like Yao's so it is hard to compare.

I would have to disagree on him dunking. He is a 7 footer with some average hops. However, his game by itself is interesting. A tall, good shooting big man with a good variety of shots that mirrors those of guard's and smaller men.

He also had 7 turnovers that game, but it'd be blind for people not to notice that he can play. On another note, Greg Oden.. 10 fouls in his first Summer League game.
