Toad is on a distinguished road
June 30th-July 1st celebrations

Does anyone know of much on in town for the 10th Anniversary celebrations? If I was looking for a reasonably quiet night out, would this be an evening to dodge wandering about town (mainly wanted to go for dinner and shopping). I havent heard of anything much but a friend said stay away!
Thanks

I doubt that you will notice much difference in the usual expat hangouts. There are fireworks on Sunday at 8pm (http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/...ng/index.jhtml), there's a parade on sunday starting at 9am at Happy Valley and going to Wanchai. A pop/rock gala at Tamar on Monday: http://www.discoverhongkong.com/eng/...event_id=37558
There may be a protest march on Sunday (probably going from Victoria Park to Central), but I doubt it will be the same order of magnitude as a couple of years ago.

The thing that's likely to be most visible, in LKF at least, will be the Canadians celebrating national day on Saturday - that's normally quite a major turnout.
