ronsby is an unknown quantity at this point.
Saving money is a good idea. Why wouldn't we consider to use our spare money for some risky investment eg. shares, stocks, bonds, funds..... ? It may help to increase our savings & to live in a good life.

I don't see the objective of the thread so much as "saving money" in the traditional sense but is about maximizing the use of the money that we have.

good point. rather than just saving from the current. we should look for the way to increase the current income. This means investing your money in planned so that you can best returns.

Saving is helpful as the backup but to improve the lifestyle, to enjoy life ta lkf, etc you need increase the income.

1) If you are capable of even feeling you should save money I am afraid ON ONE HAND - my course would be of no use to you because the object is to willfully to spend what is considered large amounts of dosh without regret and you start from a position of regret and want to save, ON THE OTHER HAND spending an obscene amount of money on my course and seeing it disappear without any obvious benefit might be very usefull in understanding the Expat ideal.

2) On your second point I always thought that with your pretty graphic emblem you would be cute, svelt and smooth with a radiant natural beauty. But it seems with all that fixing you have to do you must look more like a Kodiak Bear !! Maybe you should stay at home and save money -- he says with a jokey disposition and with a non insulting demeanour.
Yah I wouldn't be a very good particpant .... sorry!

Kodiak Bear - hmmmm I don't think so the fixing is just away to force myself to relax.

Avoid drinking @ bars

Drink up @ 7-11! Not LKF!

1. Bring cardboard to put in front of 7-11

2. Make your own Breakin' 2 dance party in front of 7-11. someone might throw money at you to cover drinks!

3. Make all your friends hang out in front of 7-11.

HK is a rip off in drinking. Hands down, it maybe relatively cheaper in comparison to the UK, but the UK is the bloody reason HK is so expensive.

Saving or Investing

Hello!
Seems like the thread has be hijacked. Of course increasing income is a topic for itself. I personally will focus on investing in index funds.

But back to the topic. Anyone has some other tips to save money?

~become a vegetarian ; meat is expensive, unhealthy to eat, extra energy resources to cook.

~don't be a fashion victim ; don't but the latest fashion clothing, buy simple and wear your clothes out.

~don't drink alcohol or smoke ; both are exspensive, bad for you and bad for the environment.

~trade services ; if you can trade services for items you want or other services you want.

~cancel home phone ; only use a mobile phone, for international calls use skype~which also can be free if calling another skype.

Agreed.

For me foods was much more important than any other things. I will save money by get cheaper same items from other shops, not by stop consume it.
