Just wanted to know if anybody knew nice areas around Sheung Wan to live in. We are a family of 4, with 2 children aged 4 and 1. We're still in the Uk at present but need to start the search. My daughter will be going to the French school which is in Sheung Wan. We looked at nice areas like Repulse Bay but they seem so far for her to commute on the bus everyday. We would be very grateful if anybody could recommend various areas or specific streets, buildings to look at.

Take a look at Kennedy Town / Belchers / Pokfulam / Victoria Road areas.

i live in kennedy town and i really like it! I'm french too!
It depends of what you want, of course if you just want to live with expat : Discovery Bay will be the best!!!!

lots of realtors are around the area, especially near the public market on Morrison Rd.

Depends on what you mean by 'nice'. If you want quiet and a bit of outdoor space then Pokfulam would be the first place to look. It's kind of up the hill a bit from Sheung Wan and a quick taxi ride (I'm not sure how the buses run in the area).

If you refer to Sheung Wan by strict definition, these are are the only two new and nice buildings as far as I know. Cherry Crest (3 Kung In Fong) is two years old and has very good environment, quiet and green. It has over 70% expat tenants. However it is a single building with only two types of rooms - 1106 and 995 sqt. Centre Stage (108 Hollywood Road) has more varieties of rooms and better amenities. It is located closer to escalator.
