| | | Original documents ? Hi guys,
i found this forum really useful...  wanna ask tho, if we are apply for working visa, should we apply with the original documents, or photocopies are sufficient enough, or both original and copies ? and do the documents that are in another languages (lets say indonesian) needs to be translated by a sworn translator, in origin countries or can we able to do that in HK if necesarry ? please let me out from the darkness !  many thanks

anthony | You won't get anything back that you submit to the immigration department, so don't send originals under any circumstances. I am not sure about the translation issue. | |

anthony | As far as I know it does not matter where you do the translation, but if you wait until you are in HK it might be more difficult to find a qualified translator. If you are already here, I would do it in HK, if you are still in your home country, I would do it there.
I did most of my translations before I moved, but later on also made use of the service of my embassy (eg for driving license). They did it for a reasonable price. | |

anthony | Well, usually you need to produce originals and give them a copy for certificateion. However, if you are outside Hong Kong, you can send them copies only, in case you will send them Originals they will SURELY REUTRN TO YOU, but they will never send you back by post, you have to colect the originals back by yourself in peerson. so you can decide that you wanna submit them copy only or with Original.
