Vodafone Mobile Broadband and Macbooks

Well I just found out that the macbook I am buying will have no PC card port and that generally PC cards are being phased out.

This is really great because back in September I paid full price (HK$ 3000 was it?) for the Vodafone Mobile Broadband PC card. To add insult to injury those monopolistic assholes at Vodafone locked the damn thing.

Anyway do you guys think Vodafone will give me a discount on the USB Mobile Broadband modem if I give back my PC card? Probably not since they are monopolistic bastards.

How much is the USB Mobile Broadband modem anyway?

Also although Vodafone doesn't officially support the macbook, the usb device supposedly works with "unofficial" drivers am I right? If so where can I download these drivers?

Ah.. another how to win friends and influence people type post.

With the tone that you've set, do you think I can forward your issue to them and ask them to consider looking at your problem?
