Mobile phones in Taxis

Bit of lighthearted relief for Friday afternoon.

I was recently in a taxi where the driver set a new personal record for me by having 6 (SIX!) mobile phones in holders lined up along the dash board. The ear pieces were routed via some intricate internal wiring.

Can anyone beat that? Is this a record for Hong Kong? I would love to find out if I was being driven by a HK record holder!

I've seen many of them with 5 or 6 phones on the dash. The idea is that they operate their own little 'network' of taxis where they offer passengers a discounted fare (usually 20%). You have to call them up in advance and inform them of your destination to enjoy the offer.

Just out of interest, why do you need 6 phones to operate a small network of cabs?

I operate a small network of friends and manage with one phone!
