I wanna try it too! I was out in Sai Kung yesterday and there was a small outdoor wall, but I was too busy shooting arrows at targets. Looks like archery's going to be a new hobby for me.

climbing

Everything is included on the induction apart from the shoes. can climb in normal trainers.

Hoping to start again sometime.

Be interested to know if a regular beginners meet is organised. Guess you need to pair with someone the same weight.

I think it would be really great to have a beginner meet-up. Anybody else up for it?

I think we don't have to worry about pairing up based on weight, as long as you don't mind getting pulled off the ground every once in a while when you're belaying. It's kinda fun.

hi

I enquired at the YMCA TST, and this is what they told me -
There are two beginers courses, one for 3 hours and the other for 15 hours. The 3 hours course is really basic and if you get grouped in that then viola, you can go there again and try out wall climbing on your own just by paying 70-80 hkd and can hire the tools etc for another 10 bucks. If you join the 15 hrs course then it'd cost you 685 hkd(585 for ymca members) and rest is same as above....
I am planning to go there this sat at around 2 pm as their session starts from 2.30-5.30 pm...
Anybody game???
