I left my IPAQ rx3417 not charged while I was out of town for a few days. Now, I can't even charge the unit any more. There is no charging light on when the unit was connected to the AC or USB. I have tried both soft and hard reset, taking the battery out and re-sitting the battery but still didn't work. Any hints ?

Is there a way that I can boot up the unit without the battery i.e. connecting the unit to AC directly.

Will a new battery help ?

Please recommend a repair shop. Thx.

Have you tried leaving plugged into the mains for longer? My Blackberry when discharged will not show anything to indicate it is charging for atleast a few minutes. Then the led will flash red once every few seconds.
