Last August 2006 I booked a flight and hotel to attend a friend's wedding in Ho Chi Min in Sept. 2007. I booked and paid the first week of August knowing that I would traveling for work in mainland China and would not be in HK till I needed to leave for the wedding. By the last week of August I had not received the tickets at my office like I had arranged but I did receive a call saying the airline had cancelled my flight and that I was being reaccomodated onto another airline which was leaving later in the day.

I called Boothwealth immeditaely as I needed to be on an earlier flight not a later one due to my involvement in the wedding party. I asked why the flight had been cancelled they responded the plane needed maintence. Having previously worked for an airline I knew off hand that unless it was a cancelation due to weather or what is classified as some other "act of God" and beyond the airline control that the rule is that the airline has the responsibility to reaccomdate the passenger onto a flight that suits their schedules if one happens to be available no matter the cost - often being at full Y fare prices.

A few phone conversations later I figured out that Boothwealth did not book/process my flight reservation when I initially paid them in early August. As they told me it was their policy to issue the ticket when it would be picked up and I reminded them that they were suppose to deliver it to my office. I had the e-mail correspondence to prove it. Boothwealth wanted me to pay more money for an earlier flight - I reminded them that it was their mistake by not ticketing the ticket and delivering it as agreed even though it had been paid for and that they were to pay for the difference in fare. Well after a few more conversations they did this after I reminded them of my consumer rights and they even upgraded my hotel room to a suite for my entire week stay.

The morning I went to leave for Ho Chi Minh - I learnt that the flight I had orginally booked was not cancelled!! I assume that Boothwealth did not issue the ticket when I had originally paid for it instead, they went to go issue the ticket at a later date (almost 3 weeks later) only to learn that the airline would not allow them to issue the ticket in the same class of service that I had paid them for. That another airline leaving later in the day still had the lower price class of service available thus, Boothwealth was trying to tell me that I had been reaccomdated on it.

Yes, it is not the first but will not be the last case?

The company have a very bad reputation, that why I will post online so as to remind someone who intend to buy ticket and hotel package.

In Hong Kong we have a lot of choice and good quality agent like Morning Star and Wing On. I will never take risk a buy a ticket and hotel package. Because, our time is valuable. We want to enjoy happiness during travel.

Could you guys please clarify exactly what the name of this company is (preferably with its IATA or other travel agent's registration number)? Is it "Bothealth", "Boothwealth" (neither of which return any Google results at all) or what?
