Also, if you plan to look at the Tuen Mun area, seek out real estate agents that are in Tuen Mun city, not the ones in the Gold Coast.

The agents in Tuen mun city have far more selection available, the one in Gold Coast next to the Esso Service station was extremely hard to deal with, costing them a 60K commission as we purchased off our local agent who worked in affiliation with the Tuen Mun agencies.

There's a wet market at Tsuen Wan. The ferry goes there. Park Island has more locals than expats actually.

hi i am mother of 2 daughter and they r going bardbury school everyday from tung chung we brought a flat in caribbean coast befor i dont like the travling time but now i like it coz tung chung is good for kids open place and all good outlets and shopping and wet market too and in ur buget u can get nice apt where i live it is good club house also and stullebus so i like tung chung

Hi. The Gold Coast is great for kids though. Where else in Hong Kong do you have that much space? We've even got a soccer field for the kids. My family and I have lived at the GC for almost a year now and we can't imagine being anywhere else. PM me if you need more information.

if ur going towo in bradbury then u choose tuchung or db coz tung chung have mtr an db have ferry and kids have open place to play mtr take 28 min from tung chung to central and from thereu take bus its take 10 to 12 min u r in school but it is ur choice u think about

Which of the 'open space' areas are more pet-friendly you think? PI / GC / or DB...? That would be our biggest consideration in addition to transport time to the city / convenience factor... Also, my partner doesn't really speak Chinese - which area would be more 'english-proficient/friendly' (people who work at markets etc)

Avoid DB if you have school age children. All schools in DB are full, and if you require International schooling you need to consider living elsewhere. In fact, you are better off staying away from Hong Kong if you will be needing good schools for your kids. The school system is confused and getting worse. Otherwise, don't expect too much from the EMB.

There is a massive international school currently being built in DB, its more pet friendly and better air quality. Tung Chung is pretty polluted, apparently the first stop for polluted air from mainland China to HK is Tung Chung, in addition to the pollution caused by air traffic and there are construction sites EVERYWHERE!!! One minute you think you've got sea view, the next you're blocked by a row of 60-stories high buildings. And I dont see how watching planes land and take-off is regarded as a sought after view???

I heard good things about Park Island, but if I am to choose between DB, Park or Tung Chung, it will definitely be DB, air quality is much nicer, reminds me of Brighton in UK. Although the no private car policy is a bit of a hassle if you have kids.
