Smile WHere to live?

Hi everyone, i've been enjoying and learning from this forum for a while now, but this is my first post.
Moving to HK in July with wife and two very young kids. Deliberating over where to live??
DB, TUng Chung, Gold Coast, Ap Lei Chau have been the areas I'v been told to suss out.
I'll be teaching at Bradbury School and have a modest budget of about 12k for rent.
I've been given conflicting info on how long the actual commutes are from the above areas and indeed the cost of living in those areas.
I'm sure all areas have their pros and cons...
Love to hear your thoughts and suggestions....

Out of the four places listed I would take DB or Ap Lei Chau as transport will be faster. DB is pretty good for families. Perhaps look there.

I may suggest going serviced if you can for the first month or two.

Where to live?

To Sleuth: I'll be commuting to Bradbury School in Stubbs Rd. Currently live in Australia. Moving to HK in July.

To HKChigger:
Re commute times... wondering how long the trips would be from door to door.
I've been told that the commute from Tung Chung, Gold Coast and DB are all about the same.
Others have said that the TUng Chung and GOld Coast take a lot longer.
What do you reckon?
