Looking for an accommodation in Kowloon

Hello everybody,

I am really in a VERY BIG trouble, and need your help of course if you can help.

I'm gonna start my internship in HK at the beginning of July, the problem is that days are running and no results.

I am looking for a room, shared flat (I prefer with another woman) in Kowloon for a max of 3000$HK. I will stay for 2 months (July + August).

Please tell me how to find what I am looking for ? OR, I live next Hong Kong now, can you at least tell me how to find some estate agents in Kowloon, thank you.

Cheers

What's your expectation?

A place to sleep only or you need some space?

If you need a room to sleep only, there have some room less than HKD1500/month, which you can find in local Chinese newspaper classified. Of course, the room was small (+-80sq ft).

Higher you pay, bigger the room, better the facility.

If you need a budget place to crash when you arrive for two or three days as you may want to check out your options try:

http://www.globalfreeloaders.com/

Better than staying in Mirador or Chungking.

^_^

Most of the cheap accomodation in HK didn't provide internet connection except you stay with the owner who need the internet service as well.

Just buy a local prepaid mobile sim card. Some of the local service provider offer GPRS service as well. But you should expect for the snail move service, less than 10kbps. This will cost you less than HKD150/month for unlimited access. Or charge by kb you used.

For faster service, go to public library. There have FREE LAN for you. In HK there have a lot of Public Library, easy to access.

Want easier and willing to pay, then a lot of cafe, McDonald, 7-11 have WIFI service but have to consume or buy for the WIFI minutes.

Want faster? 8-10Mbps? Then pay total amount of 18/24 months contact period for your 2 months usage to get a broadband. If you select this option, then don't forget to leave me you FREE balance period to me when you leave. Ha...ha...
