Weather permitting, anybody interested in heading out to the races tomorrow evening?

Only 3 more races at Happy Valley before the horseracing season is over and tomorrow night is one of those special events where you get 8 instead of 6 rounds of races so thought it's high time for some last minute gambling!!

The plan is to meet at the beer garden between 7.15-7.30pm but the races run till about 10.30-11pm so arrive anytime in between. Newbies or those who haven't been to the races, it's $10 to get in, there are lots of beer, drinks and food to get you through the night and it's a whole lot of fun for everyone, even if you're clueless about how to bet like me. Assuming I am in a gambling mood I will try and make it.

Which part of the beer garden? Left or Right?

Hmmm, I think I'd go with left for now although it depends on how crowded it is when I get there. I'd try and get a spot past the Mcdonald's (which for those who don't know is on the left side once you pass through the entrance), and to the right of it towards the race track.

Actually its free entry for the rest of the season in the public enclosure. I was there for the last 3 races of Buddha's Birthday and it was HOT and it was HUMID and unless you drank real fast the san mig turned to tea.

Weather looks ok so far. Assuming it stays that way I'll come along too. May as well experience Happy Valley racing whilst I'm here.
