| | | Disappointing Went to B&Q last Saturday as I saw the ads as well. I've never been to a B&Q before but this one in Hong Kong is far from being Home Depot like. It was disappointing!
They had some furniture, hardware stuff, small appliances, bathroom closests, sinks, tubs, tiles, paint...

| | | It's supposed to smell like wood- it's a hardware/homewares store!
Anyone know what the address/location is? I can't find any mention of a HK store on the their website.

| | | No, it does not smell like wood. I did not see a woodworks area but they were selling some outdoor wood.
Not sure what you mean by "high end". The tile and paint choices though seemed "extensive". The furniture did not seem "high end". The Ikea leather sofas were much much better than what they had. In terms of furniture design, Ikea is better (but that just might be me). The chairs were lame.
It is located near Telford Plaza, Kowloon Bay MTR station. From Telford Plaza, there is a shuttle bus to Mega Box, the name of the mall where B&Q is located. The line for the shuttle is long though. I actually took a cab. Had to ask someone to write Mega Box in canto to show it to the taxi driver as they seemd to have no idea where Mega Box is. It was close but I did not know where to walk to reach the mall.
Apparently, a Best Buy will open on Mega Box as well.

| | | b&q is one of my favorite diy stores in UK, I hope it is not so disappointing, I was very excited when I read that this UK diy giant was going to open their first chain store in HK. I will go see it myself when I arrive in HK. | |
