I bought a Toshiba laptop from a computer shop in windsor house. I had some problem with it and took it to the CHEVALIER (OA) LIMITED (distributor for Hong Kong), they told me my laptop serial number was not registered with their company. They fixed it anyway and gave it back to me, repaird and in fine working condition.

I wanted to know what that actually meant. Is my Laptop fake or what?

No - it means that you didn't send in the Warranty Registration Card (or do the online equivalent) when you bought the laptop.
