Prepare to be amused by their silly sales pitch, especially the part where they write large numbers on a blank sheet of paper, cross them out and write another number, etc., all the while claiming that they are offering you a special, time-limited promotion. I pay $398/month in California and had to sign an initial 1 year contract. No introductory/sign-up fees. I suspect that you can bargain it down lower, especially if your membership is limited to 1 branch only. I have been offered <$200/month for multi-year contracts, but haven't been enticed yet. Right after you sign up, a trainer will come over and start another sales pitch for personal training sessions. Don't be afraid to walk out if you get a bad vibe from the salesperson. You can always sign up another time, at another branch if necessary.

No joining fee? What about processing fee? Use of towels and all day access is ok?

Not bad then...too bad it's a 24 month contract though.

Prepare for the PT's now I bought sessions and was quite happy at the beginning. Then some cancelled sessions with short notice and he got a bit sloppy since I was not a tough customer.

He also persisted in selling me suppplements time after time after time. Even though I said I was going back home and already had way too much baggage (over the weight limit).

My advice is to keep the mp3-player plugged in at all times so you can work out without being "harassed" The facility is very neat.

This isn't a recommendation or anything, but I haven't seen anyone get hassled by salespeople or personal trainers at Physical.

It was not super annoying but they finally 'got' me. I did intend to try out PT so that's why I ended up in that situation.

I would maybe choose another gym if I return but I believe you would pay twice as much at least. How much is Physical? Pure was 1100$/month for my colleague but that included clothes as well, not only towels. Not that I personally would ever dream of not using my own gymwear
