Okie I know what you all are gonna say ... I have been influence by the Hongkie culture...

I have some questions:

Where can I get reasonably cheap brand new Nintendo DS hand held set ?

What are the adviseable colours : There are white, blue, light blue, coral pink, lime green?

Is the US version any different from the Japanese version set of make ?

There are a few threads on the NDS Lite already but basically go for the cheapest model package that comes with the a/c charger, R4 card and 1GB memory card. I got the package in black (you don't get that much of a choice of colours and who wants pink anyway) for HKD1400 a couple of months ago. They should be cheaper now. Head for 188 Wanchai Road, Wanchai.

So bascially u dun see any difference in the US version set and the japanese set ?

To be honest I have played with two models, one from the UK and one bought here was the Japanese version. It's not like there is much interaction with the console's menu system that requires a knowledge of the console language. Besides an R4 card takes all that pain away as it presents you with a directory of "backup" games on the memory card. You just scroll and select to start a game.

Oh.... cos I went Sham Sui po Golden Computer arcede and I was surprise that the price differences are like HKG$20 compared to the shops in my building...which is peanuts compared to my journey up and down the smelly and cramped trains....

what I was offered was HKG$1380-1390 for white & Black

HKG$1450-$1470 for Lime green blue, Dark blue

HKG$1200 for coral pink

Prices comes with a/c adapter, 1GB, R4 card....


Oh btw where can I go on the net to D/L free games with the 1 gb card ?

You can dl games from bt sites but you won't get a 1GB card
