Let me get this straight Rastaman

1. You think speeding is not dangerous or putting lives on the line? Say that to the mothers of teenagers worldwide that lose their kids due to high speed accidents and all other speed related accident victims. There is a reason there are laws.

2. Once again what difference does it make if you are on the plane or not if the bag is on the flight. As PDLM pointed out if someone is going to blow up a plane they nowadays are more likely to join the bomb than not.

I bet this happens with all airlines. Seems like a big waste of time to unload parts of the plane for one person who is most likely shopping.

she replied 'they are checking for b**bs, in case someone brings a b**b on the plane'...

the security guard caught her usage of the 2 words and detained her and the daughter. they have been considered as 'high risk' due to the usage of the 2 words.

ya it all happened in singapore... but you can see how crazy the world is becoming and how lack of commonsense.
Since when were women not allowed to bring their boobs on a plane?

It depends on size. You can only take them if they fit in the overhead compartment or if they weigh less than 20kg.

Although I can see how your experience was frustrating, ultimately you have only your own ignorance to blame for missing your flight.

In order to keep up with the air traffic schedules, most arilines will close their boarding gates 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. This information is widely available and is communicated to all travellers who pay just a little bit of attention. As your experience was with a Continental domestic flight...please find attached their policy on aircraft boarding:

http://www.continental.com/web/en-US...s/default.aspx

"Customers checking in for flights must present themselves at the gate, ready to board their flight, no later than 15 minutes prior to departure, even if they have checked in previously. Customers not in the boarding area 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure are subject to seat cancellation and non-transport of their checked baggage."

However, they are not alone in these policies:

Emirates: The boarding gate will close 15 minutes prior to departure.

Bangkok Airways: The boarding gates close 15 minutes before flight departure time.

KLM: The boarding gates will close 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

Singapore Airlines: the boarding gate will be closed 10 minutes before departure.

Japan Airlines: will be closing the flights’ boarding gates 5 minutes before departure

Jet Airways: In order to maintain schedules, the boarding gate will be closed 15 minutes before departure time.

Cathay Pacific: Boarding Gates will be closed 10-20 minutes before departures.

Next time read your ticket and stop your whining.

Also: All checked baggage will be X-Rayed and put through a machine which detects traces of chemicals used in explosives. Thus, the baggage travelling without the passenger can and does happen all the time.

I just love it when people don't want to take responcibility for their own actions. As a frequent flyer myself there is nothing which pisses me off more when people run into the airplane at the last minute and then take up everyone else's time by searching where to shove their carry on and not takign their seat. It happens far too often when the "late" people delay the departure.

Thanks Climber07, but Rastaman cannot be done with fact as presented from reputable sources- that takes too much of his time.
He believes that Continental BROKE THE LAW and did things that were ILLEGAL and who are we to argue with his statements?

Maybe I'm just too much of a cynic, but has it occurred to anyone that Rasta has just gone on some bizzarro trolling spree?

Okay, maybe he's as immature as his first post implies, but he's bothered to keep this thread going despite vocal and overwhelming opinion that he's a complete pillock. Can anyone really be so self-absorbed?

Funny thread though
