I think we've had this discussion here a few times... I have been very happy with IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads for the last 10 years or so. - very solid.

Definately recommend Thinkpads. Lenovos are within your price range at 6999 for the 3000 v100.

I'll have to 3rd the IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad suggestions.

But if it's between Dell and HP, then I'd say go for the Dell.

Hey everyone,

1st post here, of what I'm sure will be a ton of questions about HK, as I'll be moving there in about a month.

One question I had was the price of a laptop or computers in general in HK compared with the US. I need to buy a laptop and I can either get one here or wait until I get to HK to buy.

Which would you suggest? Thanks for your help.

Again- Lenovo!

But failing that, Dell and HP are fine.
