Rico Bistro in Wanchai - Bad Experience!

I had an awful dinner event few days ago at Rico Bistro in Sanlitun in Wan Chai. While I was dinning with my wife and her friends, a rat (yes a rat) crawled up to my shoulder while I was eating. I shouted "SxxT!, there a rat on my body!". My wife who just sat across me saw the rat and she jumped up and stand up on the chair (she has this musophobia/murophobia all her life). Her friends was scared and stand at the corner.

What's worst, none of the staff come and approach us for any help or look under the floor to see if the rat is still around. (Basically no reaction). I saw this guy who just stand next our table and I ask in english whether is he the owner/manager as I like someone to help. He didn't even response and he just keeps on staring at us. Till then my wife yell loudly in cantonese asking for the manager, then this guy started to response that he is the manager and that the owner is not around. We told him that there's a rat just crawled on top of my body, and you know what is his responese "well the front door is open and there is bound for rats to crawl in". He's making excuses...and worst of all, he just stand there and thinking we are trying to cheat the meal. (for goodness sake, if i want to cheat the meal, i wouldn't have made the booking with my phone number where he can call the police)

We are so pissed and we said we are not going to pay for we had enough (no service) and we said we are going to complain to the Health Ministry. He has no reaction and lift his arm as if there is no big deal.

We left the restaurant and went to Causeway bay for another dinner.

The matter i want to highlight is a meal should not come with a RAT!

Did any of you take a photo using a cell phone? Thats what they are for.

Sounds just so bizzare that if it was another user I'd have written it off as a windup.

The rat is moving fast and by the time you want to take the photo it is already gone.
I spoke to my colleagues and they agreed the manager's manner was horrendous.
The matter is under investigation now...

Perhaps the health department can shut the place down for inspection since their attitude is so lame .....
