Remain in Discovery bay if u could and wont mind the buggy and car-less roads which only busses ply... I like the international schools and the multicultural lifestyle there... After a while, u move out from discovery bay u will discover a whole lotsa of shock coming your way in the other parts of HKG...

I have lived in Tung Chung for just over 2 years now and find the air pollution is the worst in the winter and okay in the summer. I see the API everyday at work and there have been numerous times TC's air pollution is worse then street level readings in Central and Causeway Bay... again this is during the winter months. It's been good the last 2 weeks because of a southerly airstream... again... I know this b/c of work. Anyways, we are moving out of TC come September to DB to be closer to the International Schools. TC is nice and quiet and close to the airport and the mall gets better with new shops every month, but CRAZY on Sunday's when everyone from the city visits... that is when I flee TC. Canucker

Lived in Tung Chung for a year and found it great: - nice green and sea views generally from all flats - with a car, can be in kowloon in 20 min and Central via the Western tunnel in 40 min max - Citygate shopping mall never crowded, yet very convenient - dont feel like HK: no crowd, lot of space, inexpensive living - the Tung Chung MTR line rarely crowded (worst is at around 8am morning, but managed to always get a seat) the only drawback is that you really need to own a car there (can be very inexpensive in hk if you dont mind driving a 2nd hand Jap car) As for DB, the ferry makes it inconvenient (same as Park Island) - you can only shuttle to Central or....take a bus to Tung Chung or Sunny Bay to catch the MTR!

Living in Coastal or indeed most of the other developments feels like living in a resort. ('cept Tung Chung Crescent perhaps). You walk outta the lobby and see palm trees, pool, clubhouse. Makes a pleasant walk to the MTR station. Weekends get crazy shoppers, hikers, NP360 goers etc. Just gets a bit annoying sometimes but it all adds to the atmosphere.

the launching of Le Bleu deux is creating a marketplace in the area with so many property agents looking for prospective clients. Hope it will be sold out soon so that the place will be back to its normal quiet place.

you mean a scrum, a feeding frenzy, a sub-human roadblock Saw a good fight last weekend. And whatabout the roads, they are jumping out into the road to stop cars. NUTS. Very entertaining.

Good description. I saw one agent approach another yesterday, so they have started feeding on themselves. The women aren't dressed on the same uniform (white shirt, loose tie, shoulder bag) as the men, so it's a hit harder to pick them unless you can see the blue brochure. This guy obviously didn't, it was quite funny to see the girl waving a sheaf of brochures at him. Can't be long until the bloodbath begins. dot.zen
