Also, SZ is a big place. The commute from Sheko could be as long as a commute from HK (although not the island).
Commute from Sheko wouldn't require passport line ups (tourist line ups at that) and new passports every two months.

BTW What's wrong with the PRC police. They are very professional. They see something happen, approach you, you bring out 100RMB and they saw nothing. ---future quote of the year haha

If they were professional, they would give you a receipt.
Which you would then turn over to a professional accountant and it would become some sort of tax deduction.

Rather have my passport fill up. The US Consulate here is quite good about adding pages.
I know, I am off the beaten track again.
Even HK is dangerous if you want it to be, if you stick to places like Central then of course you will be safe, try walking around Mong Kok at night around Portland streets and see how well you do over their.

my message was not intended for you, it was to the person who was thinking of living here as a tourist and working in china.

Okay, every city has dangerous spots. It just seems that the prevailing opinion is that SZ is more dangerous than HK.

yeah of course do you know how mean some of those hooker are. haahaaa. Portland street could be dangerous, depends on what you do over their. I have seen some extreme stuff over their and also when living in San po kong around the mahjong parlours. It also depends on who your with probably. not good to hang around with certian types of people.

I agree with sleuth that HK is better than shenzhen but if you have no choice but to live in shenzhen its better to stay in a more expensive place were the security is a lot better.
