80's and britpop

Does anyone know of any bars or clubs in HK that play 80's or britpop music?

I've had a recent hankering for 80's music (eg Spandeau Ballet, New Order, and fairly cheesy stuff for nostalgic reasons)

Also would enjoy britpop (90's and newer stuff)

This is kind of an embarrassing post but I do think it could be fun and would like to get this out of my system!

Live - dunno.

From jukebox - most the bars in Wanchai - Devil's Advocate, White Stag, probably Carnegies... Sure there are plenty of others.

Think most bars that cater to mainly working expats are likely to have sl older music selection as most people going are sl older...

Locals here has most of what you're looking for, but might be a bit far to travel to Sai Kung to listen to a jukebox...

Altenratively a visit to HMV and listen at home...

I get my fix from watching 80's movies or buying 80's music video DVDs. If you have NOW try and watch "The last days of disco" (it's on right now!) - plenty of disco hits in the background and then there is the delectable Kate Beckinsale!

And if you're good at recognising this sort of music form the first few seconds then you should be able to win yourself a few free shooters in the music rounds at the Bulldog's LKF Quiz Night every Tuesday.

PC - thanks. Excuse my ignorance, but what's sl older?

Discobay - thanks also, However, unfortunately I was at work at that time!

PDLM - I might just try it out. I find trivia nights fun - assume it is on at about 8pmish onwards...(PS if anyone wants a free Bulldogs men's polo top, let me know. I won it at a recent Austcham event there but have no use for it!)

Most people I know when I'm down in Wanchai (rare these days) would be between 30-50 years old, generally closer to middle...

So their peak music interest comes from 10-20 years ago.
