Induction Hobs: any advice?

Hello.
We are doing up a kitchen. Have been considering an induction hob but have never used one before. On demonstration they seem great. I know about the cookware requirements and the efficiency advantages. But has anyone any practical advice? There are a lot of models around but most of the salepeople in HK don't seem to know enough for me to trust their recommendations. We need a four-unit hob - can anyone help with a brand/model recommendation please? Thx a lot.

You need special cookware - not every pan/pot will work. You can not get fine control of the temperature like you can with a gas flame. Safe if you intend to let the children play around the kitchen when you're cooking (!).

Thx DB,
I know that you need ferrous pans so aluminium, pyrex etc are out. From what I've seen, the control and speed are comparable to gas and energy efficiency should balance the extra initial cost over time. There are a lot of brands out there - and like so many in HK, the salespeople seem to know diddlysquat about their products. Sound familiar? Just wondering if anyone has experience with different brands.

For advice I would recommend Sogo and UNY over so-called "specialist" stores like Fortress and Broadway. The sales staff are often women who know a thing or two about cooking.
