| | | Toplux mp3 player my two year old M-250 cannot be recharged or recognised by the computer as an external drive.
Any ideas on whats happening?
I can still listen to what's already on it but the juice will run out soon.

| | | The batteries are completely dead. Lithium batteries have a set life; no matter how you use them, they will eventually expire. Time to buy a new MP3 player! Unless you think it's worth cracking it open and trying to replace the battery yourself... | |

| | | Seems such a waste to chuck the player just for the battery.
Are there players which use replaceable batteries?

| | | Contact the manufacturer or local distributor. They'll probably be able to change the battery up for you. | |

| | | Probably not worth it to walk miles for the official channel, just go to the electronics/mobile phone repair shop across the corner and ask if they can do it. | |

| | | Yeah, or alternatively, open it up, identify the battery, buy a new one and replace it. | |

there doesn't appear to be any place which could be a battery compartment-in any case how does one pry open an mp3 player?
