| | | met some local climbers last weekend, and went to a bouldering gym (in the middle of nowhere). when the weather is nice they take day trips outdoors (hoping they do sport in addition to bouldering). i can let you know when they head out again.
haven't been to the wall yet in King's park.

| | | Anyone knows where to buy equipment in HK? I need a rope, ATC, harness, shoes, chalk ball, etc. I haven't climbed in a few years, but I've been hitting the gym and trying to get back in shape. Can't meet up this sunday but will definetely be interested in future events. | |

The guy who owns the store (Mr Cheung) is a serious alpinist who (as far as I can tell) started the store to fund his climbing trips. Carries mainly Beal/BD ropes (can't remember what other brands, maybe Edelrid?). He's also responsible for building the popularity of climbing in HK (he ran a lot of courses back in the 90s). http://www.hongkongclimbing.com/chamonix/chamonix.htm
There's also RC Outfitters on HK side and Mong Kok if you need Mammut ropes.
