China Visa requirments
I'm aware of HK resients who cross back and forth into SZ on a daily basis. What kind of visa are they holding?

I'm a UK passport holder but have just got my HK ID with the 3 stars, can I get what they have or do I need to get a SAR passport?

What you need is a re-entry visa. Check out the HK Immigration website here.

HK Residents you are speaking of are actually the residents who are Chinese Citizens. Since they are going in to China they don't need a visa as they are Chinese citizens.

You would need a multiple entry visa. See above link.
