Car GPS navigation in Hong Kong

Anyone have experience with navigating in HKG with GPS?

We have a Volvo S80 and would like to fit one to simplify our exploring. Volvo say the roads are too complicated for GPS Nav!

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Grab one of those transport guides or whatever. I would never us GPS. Do you notice how roads are stacked on each other here and circles. How would you know what you are doing? Street signs are pretty clear if you have any idea the direction you are going.

I have drove all over, from Airport to Clear Water Bay, Mong Kok, Sai Kung, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, Lok Ma Chau, San Tin, Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, Central, Sai Ying Pun, North Point, Tseung Kwan O, Shek Lei Pui, Tsing Yi, Cheung Sha Wan, all over. Sure, there has been times when I don't know when to turn off a road, but all it takes is a look at the book and I am good to go.

My husband & I are big GPS users (we own 3 - all Garmin). We have tried to buy software for HK since we visit every 2 years and were told there is none. We still bring one GPS for when we're hiking.
