| | | PCCW 0060 seems fine to me. Base rate of HK$0.38 (US$0.05) per minute, but speciall offers on a regular basis bring it down to about half that. Quality is good. Unless you call a huge amount I'm not convinced it is worth the effort to continuously monitor prices to shave a few percent of that, particularly since the quality can be variable with other suppliers as well. | |

| | | How about the service that started it all?
Wharf T&T's IDD 007 service...the cheapest I've used for the US, anywhere from between 7 to 19 cents (HK$) per minute..

Way too expensive. If you're a US resident who calls back home a lot or maintains extensive contacts with the US for business, you're better of getting a Vonage VoIP device or getting someone with a Vonage device to set you up with their softphone.

| | | | Oh Puh Leeze! 5 cents a minute is too expensive??! Are you insane? Talk about wanting soething for free. You can't even call state to state in the US for that little. | |

| | | 0030 is cheaper than 0060, I think its about 3 or 4 US cents a minute. If thats too much, use skype (simply google skype), its 2US cents a minute to the USA. If you contact someone in the USA who has Internet access on skype its free. Quality is excellent, higher bandwidth than a normal phone, cool stuff! | |

| | | BTW, anybody has suggestion for good IDD to India? I'm using New World's IDD 009 and paying around HK$1 per minute. The service seems quite smooth, never had trouble dialing or voice quality etc.. Any other alternatives tried by anyone? | |

All you need is to find someone having company A/c with them and ask him to add your name and No. Usually they have preferential rate for company/ corporate A/c than residential/ individual .... and yeah negotiation is always there (Little bit of threatening of canceling the line included). Of course, they will also consider certain factors like usage and how old is the customer etc... Yes, we have been using its service for quite long but, frankly speaking, usage is not that high.. Oh yes and this rate was bragined during SARS time... | | Tools | Search | | | | | Rate This Thread | | | All times are GMT +8. The time now is 12:34 AM.
