Alrighty, another meeting coming up!!!

So, I've been mandated as the next lead arranger for our French-Cantonese/English/whatever-language-you-can-offer language exchange syndicate. lol

I'm thinking of this saturday afternoon. Just checked the weather forecast (after the whole T8 experience), hmm..."cloudy with scattered showers" - that means better stay under a roof?

So lets pick any big malls around here - IFC, Harbor City, Pacific Plaza, etc. and we can meet for lunch or coffee (or both)!

As I've mentioned earlier, I can barely say my introduction in French. Perhaps the French speakers can teach a French game!

Oh, my laundry's done, gotta go. Suggestions expected

Hi all,

I learnt French for 3 years in high school - love the language and am keen to get back into it.

My family are from Hong Kong so I can speak Cantonese. However, I am actually more fluent in English so it would be good to use that as the intermediary language.

I unfortunately can't make any meeting this Saturday or Sunday but would like to be kept posted as to future meetings, or feel free to PM me if you are a French speaker as it's often easier to organise something in smaller groups

Pavillon will become famous soon enough
Hi,

I'll be in. IFC, Harbour city and Pacific Place are good for me. Lunch and coffee together is a good idea. Let me know when you fix the time and place.

Merci!

Actually, I can make it this Saturday after all - just not in the afternoon. I need to leave by about 1:30pm.

So will try to make the 11am meeting at Pacific Coffee IFC - although may get there late, say 11:30 to 12… Assuming it's still on! How many people are going so far?

Alrighty, another meeting coming up!!!

So is IFC the most convenient place for everyone?
We can meet up at Pacific coffee. The earliest I can make it is at noon. How about others? If earlier is better for you, I can meet up with you guys later.

So far we've got:

Porcupine
muse07
Pavillon
cheeze

I'm not a French-speaker, do we have at least one French speaker in here?

Who else is coming?!?

Salut!

Thank you all - Pavillon & foedamdictu, for coming out for the language exchange despite the horrid weather!

I had so much fun not just learning how to say stuff like "j'aime monger le gateau" but also talking to you guys and eating the truly scrumptious dim sum lunch!

Brenda, Maggie, David & others, please do save this Sat. night for another meeting!

Merci & A Bientot!
