I have a U.S. passport and only exactly half a page left before it is completely filled up. I will need to renew my Visa in a month and that Visa sticker will take up the whole half page!!!!

Is it possible to add more pages to my passport, or is my only option requesting a new passport? Where can I apply for a fresh passport or to add pages to my existing passport from Hong Kong?

One more question....and this is important: If all that needs to be done is adding additional pages to my passport....will they request my social security number?

Let's just say I have been late (I forgot) with filing my U.S. tax returns and I have read that if you have not filed all your tax returns you will be unable to *RENEW* your passport but I am unsure when it comes to adding pages to your passport.

Just call them ... if it is this year's return, chances are you're still not on their radar.

You should be able to apply for additional visa pages instead of a new passport, as long as your passport isn't near expiry. You will need to supply your social security number, however (its actually a requirement added by the US tax code).

If its this year's return you're late on, you should be fine - Americans living abroad get an automatic 2 month extension. If its previous returns, you're committing a fairly serious crime and it will be a problem, if the IRS has picked up on it. (Its a really good idea to get your taxes squared away, ASAP) Good luck.
