Sunday PCCW

pretty fed up with Sunday + PCCW recently.
i have been using a prepaid from Sunday for more than 1 year. so far, no problem

then they decided to merge the company..
when i did my last charge from a HSBC ATM, i used the previous template and charged to a programmed number under Sunday.

the 300$ i put in just dropped into deep sea. I had to call them 4 times, faxed to them my prove of charge (ATM Receipt) and only after 2 weeks have they finally located the money and willing to charge up my phone. in between i had to top up further.

it is simply ridiculous.
1. if they merge, then they should just close the Sunday account and bounce my charge.
2. there is no reason i need to call them 3 times, fax my receipt over to them. they should check on their end whatever money they receive.
3. they told me they have found the money and will charge up my phone in 2 days time! why do they need another 2 days to do it!

Sorry a little harsh but the truth is any big company is going to treat you and the next guy this way. Esp. during mergers.

don't deny the fact. i'm going to experience one of the largest merger these few years soon... can imagine the mess...

anyway, just want to vent it out for the sake of venting it out.

A friend of mine uses Sunday postpaid. Her credit card details were changed and she forgot to notify them so the service was stopped without notice. She notified them of the new credit card details and the service was restarted and charges taken. A couple of months later and the service was stopped again but no credit card details had been changed. Infact the credit card was still in use. Nevertheless, she had to ring them up (from a landline) to reconfirm the details and the service was restarted again. Another month or two later it happened again. Now do you think this is Sunday's fault or PCCW's fault? Either way I would think twice before paying them a cent of my hard earned.

I don't know if it's related to the merge but I paid my outstanding Sunday bill this morning on the internet and I still can't make any outgoing calls.

Getting or reaching a customer service rep in mobile operators in hong kong like Three is like impossible.
I use PCCW for the landline and they are no different.

i have had good customer service experiene from companies like HP and Apple in Hong kong. My personal opinion is that the company management dont do anything unless it is posted on the news or web

call them and bug them .. u will be able to use your phone in 1 weeks time!

you probably need to pay to PCCW instead of the original template of Sunday!!

but frankly, i suspect they are so messy now they prob cannot handle both account payments.

sunday/PCCW mobile NEVER AGAIN

I was briefly on Sunday/PCCW mobile.
I had to change my CC due to bank telling me to. I informed Sunday, gave new details. Seperately, I informed PCCW & filled in new details on loads of forms.

On a 'Sunday' morning the texted me to alert me to the fact the bill had not been paid (cos it was clocked to old CC) it read - "if you have paid ignore this" - so I ignored it, I had afterall givent them the new details.

Monday morning my phone didn't work - it was cut off.
I went to Sunday shop... I got them to check the CC details (OK) they said it would be on in 15 mins.

30mins later it still wasn't working. Went back to Sunday shop... I say, what is wrong? Their reply - "oh you haven't paid your bill."
I reply "what the f@#k do you think I was here earlier to do". I couldn't get to the SmarTone shop fast enough.

Later PCCW call me up and one or more of the several forms i filled in in the shop was not in order (for IPTV CC) and they needed my CC card. I said I gave it to you. on went the discussion...

I only stick with PCCW internet cos they have massively over dimensioned their HK network. But otherwise they are a dreadful.

and I keep on reminding you guys. If you can get PCCW to come in, there is about 10 iSPs in HK that can also provide you internet access, using PCCW's modems and copper but another ISPs backbone, billing and customer service.

Personally I think this is the way to go, use an another ISP that uses PCCW circuits so you can move home or office when ever you want.
