A friend of mine's looking for intensive french lessons this summer. he has very basic grasp of the language already and just needs a course to help perfect it and make him a fluent speaker. Canadian french is preferred, but others will do too! - so question being: where can he get those and how much will it be apprx.?

the only place i know is alliance francais in jordan/wanchai. check those out, they'll assess your friend and go from there

Hi, I've nothing against French canadians, on the contrary, but methinks if your friend catches up the accent, no so many french speakers would understand him, I say so because I'm French (France) and I experienced cases when I had to make them repeat what they'd say.
Just my opinion, nothing more.
