| | | what i don't get, and I imagine most people in the world, is why Americans think its their god given right and NEED to have a gun? People all over the world don't own them and dont' think twice about wanting it...yet Americans scream if someone talks about restricting their right to have it. i just don't understand! | |

This is the bit that makes me truly wonder and ponder. Why do americans need to have their guns? Does american democracy or freedom equals the rights to having guns? If the answer is yes, then be prepared for these shootings to happen all the time. A gun in the wrong hands can create not just one but many tragedies.

| | | Aside from the fact that this was a tragedy and that the 2nd amendment is one of the most stupid thing I know (c'mon guys it was good at Cow Boy's time..it's 21st century now for god sake) another thing that shocked me was the way media repeated and repeated and repeated even more that the guy was Korean....
Honestly what do we care that he was Korea, Indian, French or spanish, nobody really gives a damn....

| | | My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved ones and who have loved ones hurt by this unnecessary carnage.
I hope that american society can find a way to detect people of similar mind living amongst them and help them before stories like these are repeated.

so the next thing the world shld have is a restraint on freedom to learn karate, tae kwan do, chinese martial art ?
gun or other means, e.g. knife or martial arts, are just different degree of weapon to kill...

Not all Americans feel that it is our 'god given right' to have a gun - nor do many of us feel that we 'need' guns! As an American I would greatly appreciate it if people on this thread would not generalize about us so widely - I know I certainly don't want to be tainted with this brush.

Yes, I've overlooked that. What I meant to say is that there are SOME americans that think that it's their rights to have gun and some of them actually cause pain and agony to the others around them
