there's definitely no available work visa for your helper unless she's chinese. i'm assuming you're talking about indonesian or a filipina, she'll have to apply for a tourist visa instead.

they don't give out visas for longer than 6 months either. she'll have to exit china and renew her visa if she were to stay with you.

i've seen some people who do that, but i'm not absolutely sure on whether it's entirely legal.
