price laptop

hello all-

I?m moving within 6 weeks to HK for my work, and I need a laptop for my wife.

What is the general price of a laptop in HK?

I can buy 1 in the Netherlands BUT I was wondering if I could use this one on the HK voltage network?? In Holland Voltage is 220 V

Thanks for your reply.

Bob

Laptops

Most of the PSUs are multi standard Volts in 100-240V...

All you'll need is to get the UK style plug mains lead to the 2 or 3 pin sockey on the PSU - thy are small money. Or a cheapo UK stye adaptor.

Thinkpat T60 - about HKD13K
Thinkpad X60 - about HKD11K

Remember, there is no VAT here - so it may be cheaper to get the PC in HK

i think there are much cheaper ones
if you wife doesn't intend to bring the pc all over the place and knock it on different corners of your house, get dell/compaq or even fujitsu is good enuf.

thinkpad is on the pricey side and its well known for the casing hardness
