we're applying for a work permit for our helper so she can move with us to work for us in hong kong.(yes! she agreed! whew.) we need to submit a copy of her hong kong employment contract along with the forms. anyone have a copy of this or can recommend an agency that can supply us with one?


i can certainly draw up my own but suspect there are some requirements for it to be valid in hk. thanks for any help.

No, you cannot draw up your own.

Best to hire an employment agency as they local consulates need the contracts to originate from an agency (rather bizzare nexus ... ).

Check with the Singaporean agencies, depending on the nationality of your helper they may be able to work something out for you. The local agencies in HK do not want to deal with Indonesian helpers directly hired by employers as they cannot extract "fees" from the helper (which is illegal anyways)

i have all the documents except for the contract, this is where the agency will come in.
anyone have a reputable agency to recommend? i'll be liasing from singapore so i need their contact details.

tex, sorry . but the response has been to find a singapore agency that has a branch in Hong Kong as the agencies here are not sure what if any, extra paper work is required for Singapore (heard someone mention "exit permits")

i've checked on the singapore side, all clear, just have to cancel her permit. so it seems all i need is a little help from a hong kong agent on the contract. the china embassy here has given me all the other paperwork. so, an agent recommendation? i'd rather deal with one someone's successfully used because we've been burned in the past in singapore by an agent.
