| | | Where to go?!?! HELPP! Hi. I'm 16, and this summer I?m pretty sure I?m doing a 6 week summer exchange program. I know I want to go to Europe, but I?m not sure what country to go to. I have to have 3 choices, and these are the countries I have to choose from...
Sweden
Spain
Poland
Denmark
Brazil
Estonia
Finland
Portugal
Slovakia
Norway
Czech Rep
Germany
Italy
Romania
I know my 1st choice is going to be Italy, and I'm not sure about the 2nd or 3rd choice
I was thinking maybe Spain as a 2nd choice, then Poland or Sweden as 3rd
Can someone who has traveled to these countries give me some advice?
I'm a 16 year old girl, and I speak a little Spanish, and a little Italian (very little)
I want somewhere that I would have fun, and would give me a good experience
Thanks a lot! | |

| | | I would say Portugal as a third choice. It's a cheap country, and very beautiful. People are also very friendly and welcoming. | |

| | | Coutries to explore I'm a local HK girl and have been to 9 out of 14 coutries you quoted.
I suggest you visit Czech Republic and Estonia cos they are definitely different from others. Surely you will not be disappointed.
Bon voyage!! | |

| | I'd go for Sweden or Finland as well, particularly if you are into tall blue-eyed blond guys and fancy a little summer romance.
Wherever you go, leave all the Hello Kitty crap behind - in Europe people grow out of that at about 8 years old.
And Brazil isn't in Europe, by the way.

| | | I would Brazil on top of the list if it were at all possible. Other than that if I were you I would choose Italy, Spain and then either Germany or Sweden. | |

| | | Please not for a 16 years old, not Brazil! Italy is OK, culturally and fun time. The mamas and papas are very nice!
Germany is to decadent now, the Swed's are not very welcoming people and not that friendly either. Spain is really more for adults. I have been to all these places, so I can suggest with confidence. Go to Italy Kiddo.

| | | Sweden is pretty beautiful, I went to Stockholm and it's a really trendy, nice city. It reminded me a bit of Paris but it's not as congested. Yeah like ppl said everyone speaks good English (although lots of signs and menus are swedish) and they're really friendly. Although one thing is there's not much swedish cuisine :P See I always love places with new n exciting food..oh and I thought it was pretty expensive, their VAT is about 25% so it's nearly as expensive as London. | |
