| | | Best Buffet + Cost?? I think HK is kinda known for its htl buffets, it's one of the few places where buffets are elegantly presented vs. the Vegas-style stuff. any reco of great all-you-can-eat buffets?

| | | goleo the buffets in vegas may not be as pretty but they have much better quality food on them.
Here, people take such advantage that the hotels buy crap and disguise it as good .........
If you insist then all the big guys have pretty much the same thing but in different settings.
Shangri la, Marriott, Conrad, Grand Hyatt, Excelsior are the most popular here.

| | | Really? I guess vegas has more diverse / international foods -- but I think the buffets in HK are more delicate and higher quality for some reason. | |

| | | Sunday Buffet at the Conrad is in a restaurant called Nicolini's - loosely italian theme. Good choice and quality - including ability to choose some mains off a separate menu. Price works out about 500HKD (after tax) for all you can eat and includes sparkling wine/ soft drinks.
Intercontinental is about the same, food wise, but for about 600HKD you get to drink as much Moet as you like, inclusive. The view from the Intercontinental is far superior of course, on a clear day.
You should book the Conrad, and you have to book the Intercontinental - often 2-3 months ahead!
I'd recommend both - nice way to kick-off a lazy Sunday afternoon.

| | | GoldCoast Hotel does a good one for about 280 HKD all you can eat and all you can drink (including as much wine, beer or champagne as you want)
Verandah in Repulse bay has a great buffet on Sunday too for 350 (can't recall the exact price)
Cafe Too is also a good choice I think (Shangri La).

We also liked Cafe Too - no drinks included in that one, but still nice spread.
