IE + Adobe Flash Crashes

We're in the process of implementing some code which will detect the version of your browser and disable flash ads for you.

This should hopefully eliminate any crashes.

A couple of things.

1) If you know someone who works for Adobe Hong Kong -- let us know. We need to get through to someone in support who can help look at the crash logs and work with us to fix their bugs.

2) If your browser crashes, please email us the type of browser and the version that you're using - feedback@geoexpat.com

I'm getting occasional crashes with IE 6.

BTW it isn't just this site, but quite a few other sites.

However I should point out our IT (at work) is very poor.

Pin -- not your IT department. Adobe's new Flash 9 is known to have some problems.

By the way, I've had a few folks report that that Firefox 2 also has problems with the latest flash plugins.

I'm one of the people with crashing in FF2. It only occurred after I installed the very latest version of Flash which I think was rolled out sometime at the end of last week.

While KIA may be able to find a workaround for this site by disabling ads or whatever, it still won't help you if other sites you frequent make you crash as well, as they do in my case.

Since I detest animated graphics on websites anyway, I just decided to completely uninstall the flash plug-in until they release a new version.

You can do so by downloading and executing the small uninstall program here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...fm?id=tn_14157
