Inexpensive hotel for family

Our family is moving to HK towards the end of July, and plan to stay in a hotel for a week or so before my contract starts.

Can anyone recommend a hotel that is moderately priced for a family of 5? Two adults and three chn, 17,14,10. The older two will be counted as adults, no doubt. I've spent ages trawling websites, but the extra three people make it a bit tricky to get an online rate.

If anyone has stayed in a comfortable, value-priced hotel for a family, I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks

Look up 9 Studios HK. It's a fairly new serviced apartment located in Causeway Bay.

I stayed in the IBIS in North Point when I arrived. It is clean and cheap, however rooms are very small. Maybe it is better if you come alone first and you family follows once your flat is ready.

If staying for a week, check this place out. They have weekly packages for as low as $3000 HKD. Executive room is $4888 a week, although I'm not sure if it's big enough for 5 people. If you want inexpensive though, there you have it.

Thanks - I've emailed these hotels. We'll see how we go - I have also contacted some short-term serviced apartments.

105 days to go....

trocadero, did your new employer recommend something? Just curious.

Good luck with your search.

No - but I will ask. I should have thought of that. They will pay for the hotel for a few days, but we want to come early. I'll ask them after the Easter break - they may be able to get a better rate than I can, if they have an arrangement with someone.

Thanks for that idea.

this place is in a great location. It is a non profit org thus not too expensive but it's nice.

"The Helena May Institute for Women" sounds like a scary place to me...
