Wink Dog / Cat Kennels

Hi,

My partner and I are looking at relocating to HK from the Netherlands and were wondering if there are any good dog / cat kennels in HK for when we travel around the region? Has anyone had any good / bad experiences?

Thanks,

Charlie

There's been a few mentioned on here before that get recommendations from people using.

One I know is Ferndale kennels
www.ferndalekennels.com

They are in Sai Kung so may be too far for some people but I think they do collect if required.

Others mentioned on here are in DB, and SPCA in Wanchai.

Beth Danae will become famous soon enough
I have a pug - and have to recommend 'Doggie Dayz' - owners Cara and Andrew Ng are on GeoExpat every so often (look for user: carang) and we took Zoe there a few weekends ago for the 1st time. Andrew absolutely knows dogs. Dogs socialize with each other and he's got a consistent regemin for bringing in the newbies which reduces excitability and all that. Zoe came home so happy as she had boundaries and yet good fun!

We'd used another kennel further out before however no socialization offered, a daily walk cost extra and I didn't realize that our dog didn't like it there until I saw the difference in her when she came back from Andrew's.

His place is in Disco bay and ferry ride over is only 20 mins. $150hk per 24 hrs.

Can second this one too! Don't have a doggie myself (yet), but have heard very good things from other people.

Join the crowd ! Mine is over due too.

At least you have lots of basics. your site instills confidence I'd say. It is so hard to leave pets.
