What to do with our Furniture?

Hi everyone,

My husband has just got a posting to HK for 3 years (moving from Australia) and we are deciding what to do with our household furniture.

I enquired about storage here in Aus but the cost is about $3,000 per year !

What have other readers done in these circumstances please?

Im from melbourne australia aswell, in hong kong now, your employer in hong kong has the responsibility to relocate you, this means they should pay for allowance for moving your furniture here.

Question

Thank you for your reply, we did not discuss these matters as yet I know there is accomodation etc. The uni has its own housing. Our furniture is a lot of antique stuff, would not look right in a modern app. This is why I was thinking of storing. Boy is it expensive
Did you try to store your belongings?
Thanks again

All of my stuff is in storage at the moment....well the stuff I don't want to lose. Sold the rest.

Yeah storage can hurt.....especially if you insure the contents.
