Now Broadband - "Upgrade" message

Hi, NOW broadband has put a little pop-up window on my tv instructing me to "Power on/off decoder for features upgrade". Obviously, I've turned the damn thing on and off by remote. Nothing doing. What do I have to do to get this box off my screen?

Thanks!

Do what it says you complete bimbo. Press the on/off switch on the set-top box twice. Do you need them to tell you which part of your anatomy to use as well?

I'm sure you mean that in the nicest possible sense.....

In my defence, the pop-up simply said power on/off for upgrades. So I felt that I had followed the instructions. Oh well! And if that isn't defence enough, I'm in the midst of a VERY stressful pregnancy and my head is a little scattered these days.

Despite the tone, I appreciate the tip!

We did the same thing when that came up. Took a little while to figure out they wanted it turned off at the box.

Don't take PDLM too seriously - we don't When I first saw that message I did the same thing. Only when I noticed the message persisting did I think to power off the unit.
You would think that in this day and age they could do this remotely.

Usually pressing the remote only puts the box into standby mode, bit like when your PC puts your monitor into standby when left unattended. You can tell as the channel you were watching comes straight back on when you power on with the remote.

Their updates need a rebooted of the box, so you need to power off using the power button on the box.
